This year did not go the way I thought it would. So much has changed, and initially I thought it was all for the worse, but then that tiny voice in my head said, “No child, I will take this and make your future better than it would have been.”

You see, when you get to a place of feeling like you’re failing—keep moving forward. When things are changing so rapidly around you that you think you would be able to make it—keep moving forward. When you’ve tried to do something a million times—keep moving forward and try a million and one times. And if that time doesn’t work—keep moving forward. The only time you fail is when you give up.

Just because your circumstances change doesn’t mean you’re failing, it means you’re moving forward. Sometimes moving forward can be scary, other times it could be the most exhilarating thing you’ll ever do. But no matter the case… don’t run away when change comes—because it will come—instead, embrace it and see what amazing things will come with the change. You never know you may meet a new friend, create something new, mend a broken relationship, or just learn to love yourself more.

So the next time you come to a place of uncertainty—keep moving forward!

Thank you, Walt, for inspiring generations to keep moving forward!
